At the end of this lick it sounds like Stochelo is playing a triplet where he slides a bit. The tab shows regular 8ths and it is kind of hard to figure out just how he plays this passage because according to the tab he jumps from fret 17 to 14, 3rd to 2nd finger on the same string.

Am I missing something here, or is there a mistake in the tab?
I think it just sounds like a triplet. He is sliding because the distance is quite large. Anyway, it's bit vague. I just wrote it the way it seems most practical to me.
No problem, I'll watch the videos and listen to it more to figure it out.
You do a great job with the transcriptions. Not many people are up to the task of transcribing Stochelo's intricate playing which sometimes defies notation in its complexity.
Thx, luckily I've had lots of practice. Transcribed complete CDs of Piazzolla and Pugliese (all instruments), about 30 Nelson Riddle arrangements he wrote for Sinatra and big parts of the movie soundtracks of Indiana Jones, Home Alone, the Terminal, Superman and Catch me If you Can. It's second nature by now (but still tiring work nonetheless).
