Is that including the chromatic scale? I am also wondering if there is a point in practicing where you can play something like a single string chromatic run at high speeds without having to constantly practice it because i feel like if I dont play something intensively for a few weeks I lose a lot of comfort and speed even though ive played it a million times

I have a method book by Romane called Lesprit Manouche and it has been very informative, but where the rosenberg academy has the daily practice as licks or small theory based practices that are potential licks, in this book all the exercises are based on theory and getting to know the fretboard from a straight arpeggio and scale viewpoint. Is this just the french way of doing it? The idea of memorizing a large vocabulary of licks and employing them at will seems much easier to me because ive been playing these arpeggio exercises for years and am having a lot of trouble transitioning into using them in improv without them sounding bland and predictable. How much of Stochelos improv style is based on theory? Should I continue to practice these straight arpeggios?>
